David Read has worked in the industry since 1983 and has served as Chair of Canadian independent group Basics Office Products since 2020.
He is President of Basics dealership Dicks and Company Basics, located in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Dicks and Company is in its 182nd year of business, and COVIDÂ is not their first pandemic. Having started in the canvas sail making business in 1840, the company has learned to pivot many times.
