xpedx appoints president to head restructure


30 November 2005 – Loveland (OH): xpedx, International Paper (IP)’s North American distribution business, has made a number of senior appointments to lead its reconstituted geographical regions.

Thomas Kadien, former president of IP Europe and SVP of IP, has been named xpedx president. He will be based at IP headquarters in Memphis.


The firm revealed it has restructured its four geographic regions to three regions under Kadien’s leadership.   


Richard Lowe, former xpedx president and VP of IP, assumes the position of EVP of the newly expanded western region. Peter Vanderhyden relinquishes his role as western region SVP on his retirement in Spring 2006.


Jim Connelly has been named EVP of the north central region, while Tom Weisenbach takes his position as EVP of the south central region. Both men also assume the roles of VP and officer of IP.
