16 December 2004 – London (UK): Xerox, along with computer services provider Electronic Data Systems (EDS), has sealed a $40 million contract to provide printing, copying and fax services to British banking giant Barclays.
Under the five-and-a-half-year deal, Xerox and EDS will manage Barclays’ procurement, service and maintenance, help desk and user support for more than 2,250 devices across 200 Barclays offices throughout the UK.
The news comes just a day after Xerox announced it had won a three-year multimillion dollar contract with Staples to supply digital printers and copiers to the retail giant’s US stores.
