Xerox develops reusable paper

30 November 2006 — Toronto (CAN): Xerox scientists have developed a range of reusable printer paper that erases anything printed on it after a day.

The experimental printing technology was developed by the Xerox Research Centre of Canada and Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).

Xerox estimates that up to two out of every five pages printed in the office are for what it calls "daily" use, such as printing e-mails. It hopes that its new technology may help to reduce paper consumption in the future.
