Xerox delivers charity boost

6 December 2006 — Stamford (CT): Four nonprofit organisations have had their outdated premises upgraded after winning Xerox’s Helping Hands Office Makeover Contest.

The Latin American Coalition is Charlotte, North Carolina, OpenWold Learning in Denver, the Indiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Indianapolis and the Hickok Center for Brain Injury in Rochester, New York each received an office makeover valued at roughly $15,000.

Brice Cooper, host and interior stylist for HGTV’s Design on a Dime, designed the new working environment for the winners.

Cooper said: "Nonprofit employees spend long hours dedicated to helping others but often, these people are working in drab environments. By adding colour to the walls, new technology and furnishings, we were able to dramatically change these offices – making them more inspiring, comfortable and productive."
