24 July 2006 — Rochester (NY): Xerox has acquired Albany-based document management and data storage company Amici LLC, for $174 million.
The acquisition formally launches Xerox Litigation Services. The division will combine Amici’s e-discovery technology which identifies, filters, produces and stores relevant data from paper and electronic documents with Xerox Global Services’ records management consultancy.
The aim of Xerox Litigation Services is to provide customers with a secure and easy way to work with law firms, government agencies and partners on litigation and regulation compliance.
Amici was founded in 2002 by CEO Craig Freeman who will now serve as VP and general manager of Xerox Litigation Services which will also incorporate Amici’s 125 emloyees.
