19 December 2005 – Washington (WA): Weyerhaeuser has announced it will close or sell plants in eight US states and two Canadian provinces.
Around 800 employees will lose their jobs in the latest of a series of cutbacks at the paper manufacturing company following a significant drop in Q3 profit.
