10 December 2004 – Federal Way (WA): Weyerhaeuser has promoted Michael Jackson to SVP of pulp and white paper.
Jackson, who joined the company in 1977, has held numerous management positions in the company’s paper and containerboard business, and served most recently as VP of fine paper. He will succeed Michael Onustock as he retires on 31 December.
Chairman and president/CEO of Weyerhaeuser, Steven Rogel, said: "Mike is one of our most experienced and innovative leaders.Throughout his career Mike has brought a great deal of energy and innovation to every leadership position he has held. These traits, combined with extensive knowledge of our paper business, make him an ideal leader for this sector."
