Corporate Express (CE) supremo Frans Koffrie was conspicuous by his absence last month at a two-day CE senior management event in the US. Even more intriguing was a throw-away line buried deep within a research note, released by Dutch retail bank SNS, which talked of the company’s short-term increased share value under a "new management team". Do they know something the rest of us don’t?
Trouble at Xerox: A much-heralded UK press launch of a new colour-enabled "extensible interface platform" printer had to be scrapped. Despite promising to "ultimately change how we interact with printing and imaging devices and redefine the workplace", the September event was called off because Xerox couldn’t book a security guard!
