WB Mason on the acquisition trail?

27 July 2007 — Brockton (MA): Industry speculation is rife in the US this week and the main subject is the fiercely-private WB Mason, the country’s largest independent dealer by far.

Sources in the north east, WB Mason’s home turf, suggest that the 109 year-old $500+ million company is actively courting three independent dealers in Massachusetts and Connecticut, with one acquisition – widely tipped to be Malden, MA-based dealer The Office People – apparently expected to close within a week.
