Wal-Mart/Tesco linked to rival outlets in S Korea

15 March 2006 – Seoul (SKR): Wal-Mart and Tesco may bid for South Korean outlets of French rival Carrefour, company officials have told Reuters.
 
"We are exploring growth opportunities in South Korea and are interested in buying Carrefour outlets, if they are put up for sale," a spokesperson for Wal-Mart told Reuters.
