25 July 2005 – Shanghai (CHN): Wal-Mart is planning to operate 90 stores in China by the end of 2006.
Lawrence Lee, regional operations director for Eastern China, told Reuters that Wal-Mart expects to post double-digit revenue growth in the country in 2005.
The company will launch its first store in Shanghai on Thursday.
