Wal-Mart strengthens Argentinean presence



22 September 2006 — Buenos Aires (Argentina): Wal-Mart Stores is to invest $150 million over the next two years in the construction of new stores which will double the company’s presence in Argentina.


Wal-Mart has been operating in Argentina since 1995 and employs 4,900 people. The new stores will create 5,000 new jobs.
