21 March 2005 – Bentonville (AR): Wal-Mart has estimated that its March comp sales will equal or exceed that of February, when sales at US stores open at least a year increased 4.1 per cent.
Sales in March were led by stores in the company’s Northeast region, it disclosed, and food sales were showing the sharpest increase.
Results for the five weeks ending 1 April are due to be released on 7 April.
