3 April 2006 – Bentonville (AR): Wal-Mart has reported a 1.3 per cent rise in same-store sales for March.
The result, at the low end of the company’s forecast, is expected to be matched by other retailers which have attributed relatively quiet March sales to Easter falling in April this year rather than in March, as in 2005.
