7 February 2005 – Bentonville (AK): Wal-Mart remains confident that its same-store sales in February will grow by between 2 and 4 per cent, it has announced.
The retail giant is expecting yesterday’s Super Bowl to boost sales figures, with consumers opting for snacks, beverages and decorations to accompany what is the country’s biggest annual sporting event.
The sales forecast is the same as January’s, which fell short of expectations at 2.5 per cent.
