12 April 2006 – New York (NY): The amount of paper recovered from recycling in the US reached a record 51.5 per cent of all paper products in 2005, reports The Wall Street Journal Online.

The rise was in part due to the demand for recycled paper fibre around the world, especially in China which doesn’t have enough trees to cope with its rapid industrialisation, the report said.
