16 November 2006 — Helsinki (FIN): The European Commission competition authority has informed UPM of its decision to close investigations into alleged antitrust activities.
The Commission has now closed its investigation into newsprint, magazine and label paper. The investigation into self-adhesive labelstock markets has also been concluded.
The fine paper investigation was closed by the Commission in August.
Certain investigations into alleged antitrust activities with respect to other products made by the company are still ongoing.
