United to team with Integra



United Office Products has agreed in principle to contract Integra Office Solutions on certain back-office services – including catalogue production, financial administration, data maintenance, liaising with suppliers regarding purchasing agreements and marketing support – from January 2006.
United CEO Chris Lee said of the agreement: "We have the same functions and same suppliers, we both have studios, product managers and negotiations, so it was a no-brainer to put them together. It gives us a more heavyweight purchasing synergy."
He added that United will now be able to focus on providing front-end sales and marketing programmes designed to grow dealer revenues.
United also confirmed the appointment of three board directors: David Wreaves (business development); Kevin McAdam (financial director) and David James (non-executive director).
