3 November 2005 – Des Plaines (IL): Unconfirmed reports from the US suggest that United Stationers is set to announce a relationship with SAP which industry sources believe may be the first stage of a plan to develop its own dealer system. According to unconfirmed reports, it’s believed that United has requested that all the main US systems houses participate in conference calls this week, insisting however that all participants sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement preventing discussion about the subject until November 7. That coincides with United’s "Vision" meeting taking place next week in Las Vegas where, should the reports be accurate, a formal announcement is likely to me made.
