5 May 2006 – Des Plaines (IL): United Stationers has reported Q1 net sales of $1.1 billion, up 12 per cent compared with $1.0 billion for the same period the year before.
The company posted net income of $18 million, or EPS of $0.56, compared to net income of $27 million, or EPS of $0.80, in 2005. Excluding charges related to the firm’s Canadian division and a software write-off, diluted EPS was $0.78.
The firm said sales grew in all product categories, with continued strong performance in Jan/San.
