29 June 2006 — Des Plaines (IL): Dealer group TriMega has announced record first quarter rebates of $8.2 million distributed around its members.

TriMega said improved programmes, member growth and surpassed growth targets had all contributed to the significant increase in projected returns to be paid out by the group.

Charlie Cleary, TriMega president, said in a statement: "We recognise the importance of rebates to the independent dealer model and pride ourselves on executing to plan and paying the high rebates in the industry.

"At the same time we remain focused on helping our dealer members increase their profitability and grow sales while bringing new efficiencies to their business."

TriMega Purchasing Association is a not-for-profit member-owned buying group that represents 490 dealers across the US. Following the impressive first quarter performance, the group’s forecast for total rebate distributions in 2006 has now been increased by over $1 million to $26 million.
