4 January 2005 – Des Plaines (IL): TriMega has appointed former general manager of Hartford Office Supplies, Charlie Cleary, as its new president, the board has announced.

Hartford, which was a TriMega dealer group member, was bought by Staples in November 2004.

TriMega’s current president Greg Fish will continue at the association in another management capacity, leading supplier relations and negotiating contracts among other duties.

Chairman of the purchasing association’s board of directors, Lyle Dabbert, said: "Charlie is well recognised and respected within the office products industry. In his 14 years of dealer experience at Hartford and his ten years at Boise, he has become well known for his sales and marketing expertise and his management skills. He’s the right person to take TriMega forward.

"Greg Fish has done a superb job," he added. "The officers and directors commend him for his efforts in bringing about the success TriMega is currently experiencing."
