Tembec temporarily closes another mill

24 August 2006 — Quebec (CAN): Tembec, a large forest products company, has temporarily shutdown its Béarn sawmill in Quebec.

"This shutdown is due to a combination of factors, including overall market conditions, product pricing and the high value of the Canadian dollar," said Dennis Rounsville, EVP and president of Tembec.

The closure follows last month’s two week shutdown of several Tembec mills in Ontario and Quebec.
