18 December 2006 — High Wycombe (UK): DSG International (DSGI) has said that its UK customer technology support service TechGuys is proving popular with customers.

DSGI, Europe’s biggest electrical retailer and formerly known as Dixon’s, has just opened its 52nd TechGuys support centre, 45 of which are located within Currys and PC World stores.

TechGuys’ commercial director, David Bugg, said: "The successful launch of TechGuys proves that there is a renewed desire to call experts who can ultimately provide quicker and more efficient solutions to our technology needs. Both new and existing customers are increasingly treating their technology as important a utility as water, electricity and gas."

The company has also disclosed that 14 percent of TechGuys total sales in a recent week came from small-to-medium sized businesses.
