1 December 2004 – São Paulo (BRA): Pakprint, a Brazil-based provider of transactional solutions for the paper industry, has launched a new product in the hope of expanding e-commerce in the sector.

The new electronic tool, known as ‘e-suppliers’, is designed to help improve relations between suppliers and customers by allowing users to buy inputs and services electronically.

Brazilian paper suppliers Ripasa, Klabin and Suzano will be the first to adopt the new system but it is expected that paper heavyweight International Paper will follow suit by the end of 2005, along with fellow Brazil-based companies Votorantim and Papel e Celulose.
