Tech Data quarterly profit falls

8 March 2006 – Clearwater (FL): Tech Data has reported a 50 per cent drop in Q4 profit, following the heavy costs of job cuts and other restructuring actions in its Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
 
The company said its net income dropped to $29.5 million, or EPS $0.52, in the quarter, from $59.3 million, or EPS of $1.01, a year earlier.
 
Excluding restructuring costs, the company reported an EPS of $0.72.
