Synnex posts Q2 profit drop

23 June 2006 – Fremont (CA): Synnex Corporation has reported a fall in Q2 profit to $11.3 million from $22.4 million last year, but cited a one-time gain during the same period a year ago as skewing the figures.

Last year’s Q2 showed a one-time gain of $13.1 million on the sale of the company’s Japan operation. Without the boost from last year’s sale, the company would have earned $9.3 million during the Q2 2005.

Revenue in the quarter rose to $1.5 billion from $1.3 billion a year ago.
