7 February 2005 – Leicester (UK): Viking Direct customers can now gain Nectar points for their purchases, as the mail order company signs up to the newly-launched Nectar Business loyalty programme.
The new programme, launched on 17 January, is an extension of Nectar, the UK’s largest consumer loyalty programme, which has been phenomenally successful since it began in September 2002.
General manager of Viking Direct, Richard Carvell, said: "Our decision to join the Nectar programme expresses our ongoing commitment to our customers. By partnering with the UK’s largest and fastest growing loyalty programme we are able to offer our customers tangible rewards and subsequently further enhance the Viking Direct shopping experience."
The other businesses to have joined the new programme include ICI Dulux Decorator Centres, Brakes foodservice solutions, Hertz UK, Magnet Trade and EDF Energy.
