23 August 2006 — San Francisco (CA): The market share of computer manufacturer Sun Microsystems grew to 12.9 percent from 11.2 percent in Q2 2005, regaining its former number three ranking from Dell, according to an IDC report.
IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker also reported that Sun’s Q2 revenue increased by 15.5 percent to $1.6 billion from $1.4 billion a year earlier.
