15 November 2005 – Framingham (MA): Staples has revealed a 14 per cent rise in Q3 profit as gains in the retailers copying services and sales of digital cameras and computers compensated for flat sales overseas.
The company posted net income of $237.8 million, or EPS of $0.32, compared to $208.9 million, or EPS of $0.28, the year before. Revenue rose 11 per cent to $4.25 billion.
Staples said it expects a Q4 profit of $0.38 a share, matching analysts’ predictions.
