20 September 2006 — Grand Rapids (MI): Steelcase has reported a 12.3 percent rise in Q2 revenue to $789.7 million from $702.9 million a year earlier.
Q2 revenue includes $7.9 million from newly consolidated dealers.
The company posted Q2 net income of $26.6 million, or EPS of $0.18, compared to net income of $13.8 million, or EPS of $0.09, in the previous year.
Steelcase generated double-digit sales growth led by a 15.5 percent revenue increase in its North America business segment.
The company was subject to restructuring charges related to ongoing facility rationalisation in its North American division.
