Steelcase reports on its environmental record


13 June 2005 – Chicago (IL): Steelcase has announced its environmental accomplishments over the past year.

The company has been working alongside McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) to identify the human and environmental impacts of its materials and products and in doing so, has developed strategies and policies to lessen these effects.

The company is also working with the University of Michigan to develop methods of sustainable design, while at the same time updating its wood practices and formulating a strategy to be PVC-free by 2012.
