7 June 2006 — Toronto (CAN): Staples Business Depot picked-up Best New Retail Store Design Concept at the Retail Canada’s 2006 Excellence in Retailing Awards held in Toronto.

Staples landed the award for dossier, a business service environment for the mid-size market (20 – 100 employees) and mobile professionals. The concept was recognised as having an "innovative and visually enticing design".

"dossier has been the source of valuable insight for Staples Business Depot as well as being lauded by customers for its service etiquette and experience," said Diane Brisebois, president and CEO of Retail World Canada.

Launched in 2005, dossier features a graphic services studio, delivery and dedicated workstations for customers who need their materials promptly while still being able to conduct business. President of Staples, Steve Matyas, said dossier represented "the first retail brand extension of our company".
