12 April 2005 – High Wycombe (UK): Staples UK has upped its commitment to frequent customers with the launch of Staples Business Rewards scheme.
The project, which Staples estimates can allow regular customers to earn up to £400 ($212) back per year, got underway at 16 stores in the UK’s northwest yesterday and will be rolled out across all 137 Staples stores nationwide over the next few months.
Customers are able to enroll on the scheme free of charge either in-store or online at www.staplesrewards.co.uk. Membership gives them a card that they must show when making a purchase in order to generate rewards, which the company says will appear as vouchers every quarter.
Managing Director Andy Randall said: "Business Rewards provides us with a great way to reward customers who are frequent shoppers, building stronger customer relationships and allowing us to improve our service to them."
Business Rewards has already proved to be hugely successful for Staples in the US, with several million members registered.
