7 February 2005 – High Wycombe (UK): Staples has joined the British Association for Print and Communication (BAPC), in order to raise its profile and help develop its in-store copy and print centres.

While all of Staples’ UK stores are currently equipped with digital print facilities, membership of BAPC is considered vital in increasing the awareness of its service among small businesses and professional users, according to Staples business services manager Nick Johns.

He said: "If we are to truly deliver our potential, then it is paramount we enhance our credibility and align ourselves to the appropriate professional body within the UK print industry.

"We see our copy and print centre operations as integral to the future growth of the company," he added. "Our aim moving forward is to add to their number, whilst at the same time increasing awareness of the on-demand, high quality print applications we can offer our business customers."
