Staples remodels copy centres to drive sales

15 January 2007 — Framingham (MA): Staples is aiming to drive sales within the US retail division by remodelling all of its copy centres.

The president of Staples US retail, Demos Parneros, said that the biggest change has come through the ability of consumers to submit jobs online through its e-commerce site

Parneros added: "Today, the average copy centre in our stores does about $350,000. We want to get that number to $600,000 per store in the near future and we think this is such a great opportunity we’re going to push on it even harder."
