Staples gets organised for BTS


9 July 2007 — Framingham (MA): Staples is carrying its largest-ever selection of school supplies to cash-in on this year’s back-to-school (BTS) market.


The world’s largest office products retailer has also boosted its selection of designs on its school products by tripling the number of patterns and colours.


"At Staples, we track the trends and talk to teens," said Jevin Eagle, EVP of merchandising at Staples. "This year, we paired focus group research with the latest fashion trends from Europe, resulting in our widest selection of back-to-school items ever.


"We know that teens know how to organise, so we wanted to offer them the coolest new colors, patterns and products that will help them personalise their back-to-school gear in a whole new way."


Staples teamed up with its vendors to create this year’s offering, including Mead, LockerMate, Crayola, Hewlett-Packard, Book Sox, Dickies and Foohy.
