16 November 2004 – Framingham (MA): In a festive promotional campaign, Staples has enlisted the help of more than 100 celebrities and business icons to sign its new range of Paper Pro ‘one-touch’ staplers for an online charity auction giveaway.
Bill Gates, Paris Hilton, Tiger Woods, Meryl Streep and Orlando Bloom are among those who have already donated their pricey signatures to the ‘Staplers of the Stars’ campaign.
The proceeds of the event, which will run from today to 6 December, will go to charities chosen by the celebrities including City of Hope, Global Green and the Harlem Boys Choir.
Shira Goodman, EVP of marketing for Staples, said: "We’ve made it easy to get a truly unique holiday gift for someone while supporting a charitable cause."
