11 November 2004 – Framingham (MA): Staples has named John Sallay as its new SVP of strategy.
Sallay, who was previously chairman and CEO of Manifold Products, will report directly to vice chairman Basil Anderson.
Anderson said: "John brings over 25 years of strategic leadership experience to his role in helping drive long-term growth initiatives for Staples. His excellent performance in fields such as investment banking, consulting and consumer brand management makes him a great fit for the position and with the Staples culture."
