Spicers restructures European purchasing team


14 February 2007 — Sawston (UK): Spicers is re-structuring its European purchasing department to facilitate the implementation of the company’s three year product and vendor strategy.

Peter Kaemer will assume responsibility for conference, presentation, planning, filing and facilities management with Scott Walker responsible for EOS and Ian Milligan continuing with his responsibilities for the company’s 5 Star brand. Charlotte Colucci will continue with her 5 Star co-ordinator role.


There are also several new additions to the team. Anthony Haworth has joined the team as European purchasing manager from Spicers UK. He will be responsible for books, pads, paper, envelopes and writing instruments.


Manu Bekaert will be responsible for desk top accessories, office sundries and personal accessories and joins the team from Timmermans.


Veronica Avanzini will take up a category management role and joins the department from Spicers Italy.


Ewen Henry will join the rest of the team in early March to take up his role of European database manager. He joins the company from Office Depot where he is currently employed as a consultant.
