Antony Hichens, chairman of Spicers parent company DS Smith, has said the wholesaler is performing well ahead of its Italian launch.
In his statement to DS Smith’s AGM, Hichens said Spicers "continued to perform solidly" in its key markets in the financial year 2003/4.
He added that preparations for the firm’s Italian launch were "well advanced".
