United Stationers has reported a higher-than-expected Q3 profit, driven by lower freight costs and widespread sales growth.
The company’s net income went up to $26.3 million, from $23.3 million in the same period a year ago.
Net sales surpassed the billion mark, rising to $1.03 billion from $979 million last year. The furniture and sanitation categories reported the largest gains.
The company is expecting positive annual results, it disclosed, with anticipated FY growth in the 12-15 per cent range.
