22 March 2006 – New York (NY): OfficeMax will lose half of its current board of directors at its annual meeting on 20 April.
Directors Claire Farley and Ward Woods resigned from the board in 2005, William Reynolds will retire from the board in April 2006 when he reaches the company’s mandatory retirement age for directors and Jane Shaw and Edward Hagenlocker won’t be standing for re-election, having told the board they intend to retire when their current terms expire. Carolyn Ticknor has told the board she intends to resign at the annual meeting.
The company will reduce the number of seats on the board to eight, from 12 last year. Two new members are up for election.
