Service levels awarded at Esselte UK


20 January 2005 – Uxbridge (UK): Esselte UK has won the office2office supply chain award 2004, at the contract stationer’s recent conference.

office2office’s supply chain manager, Shirley Mercer, said: "We gave the award to Esselte because we wanted to congratulate them for their enormous improvement in service. I know that they were well aware of the problems that they used to have but this is well in the past.

"Last year they moved to a 24 hour lead time and have still maintained a very high level of stock available," she added. "As we have between 250-300 suppliers, it is all credit to them that they have won this award."

In response, Esselte UK’s merchandising director Nigel Gunn, who received the award, said: "Office to Office is a progressive company and we are delighted to be involved in their success. This award is particularly important to us because we have worked so hard over the last two years to get our service levels right."
