8 August 2006 — Tokyo (JPN): Seiko Epson has agreed to settle its intellectual property rights action against UK-based internet retailer, Recharge Inkjet Technologies, which trades online as CartridgeMonkey.com.
Recharge has agreed not to infringe Epson’s patents and registered designs and to make a substantial settlement payment to Epson.
Keith Scott, director of Recharge said: "Following discussions with Seiko Epson Corporation, we have discontinued our range of ink cartridges compatible with Epson branded printers because of concerns that they may infringe Epson’s intellectual property rights."
