15 November 2005 – Greenville (WI): School Specialty has announced its Q2 financial results.
Revenue was down to $344.4 million from $361.5 million recorded a year earlier. Net income fell to $20.6 million, or EPS of $0.85, from $30.6 million, or EPS of $1.30, the year before.
CEO David Vander Zanden said: "We expected stronger revenue trends tied to an improved state funding environment for preK-12 education but determined that the higher level of state funding was allocated to other needs."
