6 September 2004 – Tokyo (JPN): The new company Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices will begin operations on 1 October.
The firm was formed through the merger of Sanyo and Epson’s respective liquid crystal display businesses and has around 2,500 employees. Second-half revenues for the fiscal year ending 31 March are expected to be in the region of Â¥200,000 million ($1.8 billion).
