Sanford Europe launches new sales approach

3 September 2004 – Paris (FRA): Sanford Europe has set up a new sales platform, aimed at developing the company’s brand portfolio, which is now operational in all countries where it is active.

Consisting of two geographic entities, the new sales organisation has Ralf Oster as VP western Europe and Jim Haggerty as VP eastern Europe, Middle East, India and North Africa. Oster’s objective is to enhance commercial efficiency by optimising relations with distribution channels and promoting local access to effective customer service.

Haggerty is charged with deploying a corporate sales approach by implementing suitable local structures.

Sanford Europe president Denis Terrien said: "The writing instrument market is modernising itself and becoming much more professional. As number one, we have to anticipate our customers’ expectations, and this means changing our sales organisation.
