Sales up at Timari

24 August 2005 – Riga (LAT): Latvian stationery chain Timari has posted a 13 percent increase in sales to 383,000 Lats ($663,700) for the first six months of the year compared to the same period a year earlier.

Profit for the first half of 2005 stood at 10,000 Lats, recovering from a previous loss in the first half of 2004.

Ineta Zaharova, the company’s Latvian regional head, predicts that sales could increase between 10 and 15 per cent over the rest of the year due to price increases caused by the Lat being pegged to the euro.
